Vape coils lie inside an atomizer, one of the main components in a vaporizer. An atomizer is comprised of a small heating element that vaporizes e-liquid and a wicking material that draws liquid onto the coil. A short length of resistance wire is coiled around the wicking material and connected to the integrated circuit or directly to the battery, depending on the hardware. When activated, the resistance wire coil heats up and vaporizes the liquid, which is then inhaled by the user.
Atomizers come in three styles: Disposable, Replaceable Coil Head, and Rebuildable.
- Disposable atomizers are the first experience of most beginners. Disposable atomizers are used until they are hard to draw air through and have lost their effect. These are inexpensive, making them easy and quick to replace.
- Replaceable atomizers are arguably the most commonly used atomizers. These atomizers utilize replaceable coil heads that screw in and out of the device for easy replacement. They can also be easily washed to change flavors on the fly. If you are looking for a more customizable vaping experience, consider re-buildable atomizers.
- Rebuildable atomizers offer the most customizable vaping experience. These atomizers are also capable of producing the greatest flavor. Although the initial cost for this type of atomizer and rebuilding supplies is often higher than that of other atomizers, a rebuildable atomizer is the most cost-effective solution in the long run.
